Client: Manchester City + PUMA Football
Role: Art direction, 3D modeling, character design, design, and animation
Brief: We teamed up with our friends at Social Chain Agency to create this 3D animated spot to help launch Manchester City & PUMA’s limited edition Sergio Agüero 93:20 Jersey.
This involved building a custom Sergio Agüero character, a 3D hallway scene full of moments from Agüero’s epic career, and digital replicas of two Man City + PUMA jerseys. Once all this was built, we animated the 3D character and combined it with live-action footage of the legendary 93:20 moment. Finally, we added a bit of sound to make fully bring the piece to life.
Collectively, the piece has been shared with over 50+ million people across Manchester City channels, Sergio Agüero’s Instagram feed, and email campaigns receiving 4.8 million views and 1+ million likes. That’s one of the highest feed video view counts ever for City, and more eyeballs than Aguero’s induction to the hall of fame.
